ABOUT MARIKO'S HONEY PRODUCTS

This California honey is taken from the hives in my Concord gardens. It's here that the bees help grow our family's organic fruits and vegetables, and also pollinate the flower gardens, herbs, and pumpkin patch.  My honey is pure, raw, unprocessed, and uncooked to preserve the rich nutrients and healthy enzymes nature provides. It literally goes from the hive to the jar.

I use no pesticides on my crops, or medications on the bees, and manage all of my hives naturally.

ALLERGIES AND HONEY

Those with allergies can expect honey to help bring relief if you live within a 50 mile radius of Concord.  And no matter where you live, the health benefits of raw honey are wonderful.  Raw honey supports a healthy lifestyle, and will give your immune system a nutritious boost naturally.

SKIN CARE PRODUCT UPDATE

Recently I have taken on full time work outside my home. Because of this major change in the amount of time I am able to dedicate to my honey business I've decided to hold production of my skin care product line. Whatever is left in stock is available for sale and when that item runs out I will no longer make it for production.  In the future I will be selling these products exclusively to current customers (by special request) and at holiday boutiques. If you would like to try making your own skin care products, feel free to try the recipes I've developed by clicking the downloads button on the left of this page.

THE STORY BEHIND MY HONEY PRODUCTS

People often ask me how I got into the honey business. Being a busy home-school mother of three with a full-time job as a musician didn’t leave a lot of time for beekeeping.

Just a few years ago, while building a guest house on our property, the contractor noticed that I spent a lot of time working in my vegetable garden and suggested beekeeping as a hobby.  He eventually helped me get started with my first hive. That first year I spent just a few hours harvesting honey. My family was so impressed with it, we never did finish our store-bought honey.  The honey also made great presents for family and friends. People started asking for more and telling their friends, and I eventually realized I would have to set prices and add more hives. And so in 2006, Mariko's Honey Products was officially started.
